From 21st till 24th of May will be held an International Exhibition and Forum of Architecture and Design ARCH MOSCOW on the territory of Gostiny Dvor. The theme of this year’s exhibition is “ESSENCE”.

ARCH MOSCOW is not only an exhibition, but also a large professional forum. These are enlightening and educational lectures, master classes, workshops, installations, special projects that reflect the latest architectural and urban planning trends, problems of affordable housing, infrastructure development and monument protection, as well as technical innovations, style searches and experiments of design thought.

Guest curator – NIKOLAY POLISSISKY, Soviet artist, Russian modern artist, sculptor, painter, teacher, ideologist of art-park Nikola-Lenievets and festival Arkhestnion.

Svetlana Kolgushkina, Ph.D., researcher, QPRO lighting designer, will take part in the business program of ARCH MOSCOW 2025.

“The Ethics of Light. How to make urban lighting delicate”

Context:
Contemporary urban lighting influences architecture, health, perception, ecology – but is rarely conceptualized as a holistic cultural tool. The panelists will discuss how to design a lighting environment that works in the interests of people and the city: not dominating but emphasizing, not dazzling but guiding, discuss practices of sensitive lighting, the ethics of interference in the image of the city, the potential of technology and the boundaries of responsibility.
