The Kamala Theatre has become one of the featured highlights of the exhibition “Depositary of Modernity. 21st Century Architecture Joining the Museum Collection,” which has opened at the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture. The exhibition is curated by Anna Martovitskaya.

The exhibition represents the first phase of a major project dedicated to researching and cataloging significant landmarks of contemporary architecture. Among the featured participants are the Zaryadye Park and Concert Hall, the Nevskaya Ratusha in St. Petersburg, and, of course, the new G. Kamala Theatre.

The display features original sketches by Oleg Shapiro and Kengo Kuma created specifically for the project, alongside photographs and architectural drawings of the theatre.
Upon the conclusion of the exhibition, these materials will permanently remain in the collection of the Museum of Architecture as a documented part of contemporary architectural history.
