LIGHTING DESIGN SOLUTION FOR A MODERN OFFICE
Designed by Nefa Architects, DKC office of the engineering company required a comprehensive lighting design that could adapt to diverse spaces such as public zones, presentation areas, coffee points, corporate meeting spaces, workstations, recreation areas, a gym, and dining areas. The client emphasized maintaining a clean, airy, and dynamic environment, which shaped the overall design approach. The architects incorporated lighting solutions that balanced both aesthetics and functionality, ensuring that every space supported its intended purpose while enhancing the visual character of the office.
For the DKC office, many lighting elements were developed using the company’s own products, giving the design a strong sense of identity. In the entrance and reception areas, suspended tubular luminaires and round lamps created a functional yet decorative effect. The double-height atrium, used for corporate gatherings, featured custom-made tubular fixtures that integrated seamlessly with the structural framework, transforming the space into a striking focal point. These design choices not only provided practical illumination but also emphasized creativity and originality.
In the work areas, corridors, and meeting zones, a combination of rotating spotlights, track systems, and pendant luminaires was employed to maintain flexibility and avoid visual clutter. Workstations were given particular attention with linear pendant lights designed to prevent glare, ensuring employee comfort. Additional track lighting and personal desk lamps enhanced flexibility, allowing individuals to adjust illumination as needed. Together, these layered solutions created a dynamic, functional, and visually harmonious office environment that supported both productivity and well-being.
