Business center class A Zemelny designed by the UNK project team, located near the Ulitsa 1905 Goda metro station, is a unique architectural object. The building is distinguished by a recognizable delicate frame, looks like worn over a glass facade. This is the world’s first business center with a vertical garden at the 55th parallel of north latitude. There are “cells” with vines that will change the appearance of the tower from season to season on the facade.

The lighting design solution developed for the building emphasizes the recognizable white metal frame. Narrow optics and a color temperature of 3000K helps to focus attention on each section of the metal mesh, clearly delineating each element with light. The peculiarity of the object – the openwork frame is of different sizes: the height of the spans of the section varies from the larger one in the stylobate part to the smaller one in the upper part. It was important for lighting designers to maintain uniformity of illumination over the entire height of the building and achieve the integrity of the image.
Also, the lighting solution correspond to the task of the international Dark Sky Association and seeks to minimize the effect of light pollution with the help of precise targeting and narrow beams of light that tactfully emphasize the design, do not shine into the windows and into the air.

This unique project attracted the attention of the professional community and received many awards:

1 – project was shortlisted for the international Dark Awards 2021 in the BEST EXTERIOR LIGHTING SCHEME – STRUCTURES (HIGH BUDGET) category;
2 – the winner of The International Architecture Awards 2022;
3 – the winner of the competition “The best implemented project in the field of construction” according to the results of open voting;
4 – winner of the 100+ Awards 2022 in the nomination “The best architectural solution – a non-residential unique building” (Yekaterinburg);
5 – winner of the international PROESTATE & TOBY Awards 2022 in the nomination “Best class A business center”.
