There will be held the 4th All-Russian scientific and practical conference Citylight “Attractive city: in the LIGHT of a comfortable urban environment” in the resort city Sochi from 9th to 10th of November, 2023. As part of this event, Sofia Kudryakova, leading lighting designer of the engineering company QPRO, will give a presentation.

Conceptual lighting design for hotels as the creation of added value

Each city object – a square, a street, a park, a playground – represents a kind of living organisms for which the user and his assessment of the environment where he is located, and lives is important. Outdated approaches to organizing the city’s lighting environment do not meet modern requirements, in particular the standard adopted by the government as part of the Smart City project.

During conference will be discussed issues of updating the regulatory framework, the development of import substitution and protection against counterfeiting, ways to increase street lighting in conditions of limited budget funds, the tasks of integrated organization of light space in cities, based on the needs of residents, the formation of a “smart” city and “smart” environment lighting as part of it. Discussions and evening tours will include examples of both successful design solutions and possible options for improving the lighting environment.
