Project details

The project's primary task is to create a new neighborhood with a comprehensive set of functions, consistent with modern concepts of a comfortable urban environment. The thoughtful interaction and integration of residential, retail, recreational, and business spaces around a public pedestrian zone are based on the principle of the city as a living space. The proposed design evokes the image of the entire neighborhood as a new, functional auditorium in an old theater, facing a huge stage with the grand spectacle of the Moscow Kremlin.
The most important element of the complex's functional model is the design of a large basement floor, which accommodates commercial facilities, the complex's public infrastructure, and the lower levels of the residential section.

LIGHTING
During the day, the common areas are illuminated by natural light, streaming through the skylights between the buildings and through the stained-glass windows of the courtyard located at the northern end of the boulevard near Building D. The lighting design was based on a concept that provides a balance between functional and decorative lighting. It was important for the project to emphasize the premium status of the property and highlight the decorative finishes and luxurious materials—wood, natural stone, and metal. The visual accent in the public space's design is given to classical-style decorative lighting fixtures—crystal chandeliers, golden sconces, and table lamps. They help to create a unified image throughout the interior's decor and evoke an atmosphere of solemnity, sophistication, and luxury.

The public spaces are decorated with classic half-columns and wall moldings housing striking abstract paintings. To highlight the architectural features, highlight the art pieces, and create a sense of volume, the project makes extensive use of vertical lighting. Minimalist, frameless, rotating wall-wash fixtures with wide optics visually help to make the ceiling clean while remaining unnoticeable during the day. They draw attention to the paintings, filling the interior with light and air.

Functional lighting plays a major role in the lighting environment of the public spaces of this premium residential complex. While remaining discreet, the lighting fixtures provide the necessary level of general illumination and create a comfortable and safe environment for residents and staff. The public spaces utilize luminaires with a color temperature of 2700K and a high color rendering index, which allows for the best possible rendering of the colors and materials of designer artworks, expensive materials, and luxury decorative elements and finishes. Additionally, to avoid visual discomfort and glare from glossy surfaces/objects, the luminaires have a UGR <16.
The lighting design solution developed for the public spaces of the premium Zolotoy residential complex (quarter 1) was developed taking into account the status of the building, the design features, the aesthetic perception of the architecture, and the comfort of the lighting environment for people.
