Project details
The main entrance of the Gorky Park was built in 1955. In the towers of the Main entrance there used to be the management park offices, and in the 1970s they were occupied by a film and photo studio. In 2015 the first Park Museum, a lecture-hall and a gift shop appeared in the Main entrance complex.
The main goal here is to provide sufficient lighting of the space, emphasizing delicately the museum showpieces and creating a relaxed and calm atmosphere.
Some of the showpieces are unique archive materials of the Gorky Park, they require being handled with particular caution. To ensure the protection of these exhibit items we reduced the illuminance level in the exhibitional zones by cutting the number of the searchlights of ambient lighting and using accent highlighting of the showpieces.
MUSEUM`S SHOP
Unlike the exhibitional zone, in the museum`s shop we used more intense lighting. Illuminated cases and shelves attract the attention not only to souvenirs, commodities and pieces of décor, but also to the geometrical design of the space.
STAIRCASES
For staircase lighting we used narrow light distribution luminaires, which do not cause undesirable exposure on the walls. Octagonal upper part of the stairs has an additional highlighting that draws attention to the sophisticated configuration of the ceiling.
