Project details

The idea of the natural beauty of the South Region, declared in the interior design of the Platov airport, continued in the project of the PRIORITY PASS business-hall with the concept of «Horizon».
The light frames the space in the hall, which is built on emotional, tactile and associative techniques. The image of the “horizon” is made with a graphic light line, which visualizes the steppe horizon during the dawn.

Lighting
The hall PRIORITY PASS has an unusual structure: it is an elongated closed room without windows and its own ceiling. Natural light come through the complex rooflights of the terminal. Several light scenarios were developed for the design of this space: the interaction of natural light with artificial light during daytime and a comfortable level of lighting in the evening time, when the illumination of the main space of the airport dominates in the hall due to the lack of natural light.
Functional lighting is linked to the overall image of the space. The design of linear lamps in a complex with a missing ceiling creates a feeling of lightness, even weightlessness. Diffuse light distribution increases the effect of a foggy dawn.
